Our SAP Experience
Capgemini has been the first, and often only, implementation partner for many of SAP’s strategic initiatives. SAP has designated Capgemini as a Leading Global Integration Partner since 1993 and we were the first to create a NetWeaver roadmap. Our partnership will be even more important as Service-Oriented Architecture becomes an increasingly integral part of the business process.
We’ve worked closely with SAP as they developed the Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA) platform which employs concepts of service–oriented architecture (SOA) and is powered by Netweaver. Capgemini’s global CTO actually authored the final chapter is SAP’s “Enterprise Services Architecture” book. A recent AMR report states:
“Capgemini stands out from the others as being more experienced at EA planning for SAP customers by a very large margin. Its Integrated Architecture Framework (IAF) EA Methodology has developed over the past 11 years, and is now a very mature and detailed product. It uses the TOGAF methodology for the higher levels, where it is more complete.”*
As SOA becomes more of a necessity than just a new concept our partnership will become increasingly more important. Together Capgemini and SAP have co–developed a roadmap help companies in different industry sectors adopt a service–oriented architecture infrastructure.
Collaboration is a key element of Business, and the concepts of SOA center around better, more effective collaboration. Capgemini is the collaboration company and we will use our experience and approach to help SAP reach tough targets in the coming years.
